A Dynamite Finish At The Tevis Cup

Last month, Dynamite distributor Willemina De Boer finished a phenomenal 7th out of 98 riders at the prestigious Tevis Cup. This one-day-100-mile endurance ride tests both the rider and the horse in strength, stamina, and focus, as they traverse rugged terrain from Lake Tahoe to Auburn, California. Both Willemina and her horse, SMR Fillouette (owned by Dynamite distributor Potato Richardson) relied heavily on Dynamite products in their preparation as well as during the ride.

"At the end of April 2012, I found an abandoned cat who gave birth to kittens in my backyard. My neighbor began putting food out for her in May and noticed it looked like she may pregnant or have babies already— we searched but never found any kittens at that time. At the end of June, kittens suddenly appeared on my patio, which turned into a plan to trap the mother and her kittens and take them to a shelter, or find homes for them.

Everything changed when I brought them all into my home on June 28th. I discovered that while the kittens were wild, the momma was 100% domestic, easy to pick up, used the litter box, and the scratching post. I couldn't believe how THIN she was. Her tail was a pencil; her backbone and hips jutted out, her hair-coat was dull, and she had oozing bleeding sores on her neck and face.

I decided to name her Joyce. She is truly a beautiful cat. And her temperament is outstanding. She's been such a good mother, too. From day one, she has showered me with affection, purring and rubbing on me, and communicating to me on a deeper level. This has been one of the most unexpectedly profound experiences of my life. I have never felt such overwhelming gratitude from an animal before. She is truly joyous to be in our home.

It is amazing what 18 days of Dynamite has done for her health. She eats free choice Dynamite Premium Feline Cat Food, plus both raw and canned food with Purrformance, Catazymes, and Dyna Pro. I also used Wound Balm on her ear mites, and Wound Wash on her sores in the early days. Now that she is stronger, we're going to do a round of Herbal Tonic. The vet said she weighed 5 pounds on June 29 - she has gained at least a pound or more since then! Her hair feels soft and completely different now, and her future is looking very bright. The vet estimated her age at about 2 1/2 to 3 years old.

And her 4 very healthy kittens? One found a very good home with some people I know. The other 3 found the best home they could ever possibly have - with me and Joyce! Joining my other 2 older cats, it is now one very large Dynamite cat family here.

Dynamite Testimonial—Wound Wash for Horses

About three weeks ago, as I was feeding my two “Dynamite” horses, I saw a horse next door. My first thought, was someone’s horse got out, as the neighbor’s place has no fencing. I called all my horse neighbors and it was no one’s horse. I was shocked to see a skin and bones, scared horse. He shyed away from me as I approached the fence. I could see something was terribly wrong with his chest. I worried myself sick over this horse all day, and finally decided to have myself a closer look. With Dynamite Wound Wash and Balm products in hand, I walked next door. The man didn’t speak much English, but managed to tell me the horse jumped over a fence and got injured. It was a bad injury, and I repeatedly told him the horse needed a vet. Swollen legs, skeleton body, chest wound, very sad eyes. I knew if I didn’t help ASAP the horse could die. I showed him how to clean the wound and applied the Wound Wash, and then Balm. The horse seemed to really enjoy the attention, but his eyes never changed from the sad look he had. The man thanked me and I left.

Two days later I decided to go check again, this time met someone that spoke English. They told me they rescued the horse from someone that could no longer care for it and he had the injury upon getting the horse. The man was caring for the horse and doing as I instructed. I had left my Dynamite Wound Wash and Balm with him, as I figured he needed them worse then I did. Legs were less swollen, and I was happy to see the wound looking so much better! I even told some of my friends about this horse, and they donated a new halter, Dynamite PGR, bucket, brushes to the man and horse. I’ve followed the progress of the horse, who’s name is Dasher, and is only 2 years-old. 

Three weeks after the man rescued him, Dasher has improved by leaps and bounds. He no longer has the sad look in his eye, and has put on weight. The big chest wound will take some time to heal, but there is mass improvement since I first saw it. I can honestly say if it wasn’t for sharing my knowledge and my Dynamite products, the horse could’ve died. Thank you Dynamite!

Dynamite Testimonial - Wound Care for Horses

My horse, (who is blind in one eye) spooked and ran in to a T-post and really did a number on his leg and face. After calming him down and accessing the wounds, I decided a vet wasn’t necessary. I called my sponsor, Shellie Richardson, and spoke with her on how to properly treat it. You could see the bone on the face wound. I quickly ordered some Wound Wash and Release, which arrived a few days later. In the meantime I applied Balm, and swat to keep the flies off it. After receiving them, I cleaned the cut daily with Wound Wash, applied Release and then Balm. I am truly amazed on how the cut looks now, after just a week. My name is Lisa Mayne and I live in Middletown, Maryland. My sister, Vicki Bidle-Kelly, introduced me to Dynamite several years ago—I have been using the products since. I have a 20+ year old Quarter Horse/Appaloosa gelding named Sierra that I got 3 years ago to be a companion to my horse Lacey. In his younger years, Sierra was owned by a teenage girl that used him for eventing and fox hunting. When Sierra was in his mid-teens he developed ring bone, both high and low, and was retired to pleasure riding. Then the girl lost interest in riding so Sierra was just turned out to pasture for a few years before I got him. He was very stiff all over, especially in his front legs. He was used to being fed sweet feed so we took a few days getting him off of that and onto the Dynamite PGR and Dyna Pro. We also have all of the Dynamite Free Choice Minerals out for the horses and Sierra took to the Free Choice 2 to 1, eating quite a bit of that for the first few months. We also got a very good barefoot trimmer to take care of his feet. Now, my husband is able to trail ride Sierra with me when I take my horse Lacey out. Dynamite Testimonial—Giddy's Amazing Dynamite Recovery

In May of last year I decided to breed one of my Dynamite mares, Giddy. I put her in the pasture with my stallion plus an outside mare to be bred. After I put her in the pasture with them, I watched for a while and felt comfortable enough to leave them together. An hour later, I found Giddy standing alone with her head down and many bite injuries and wounds along with a tremendous hematoma on her neck. From the looks of things, Giddy had run from the stallion and got chased down through woods and then into a fence post. The main injury on Giddy was a hematoma on the left side of her neck the size of a football. I ran cold water over it and applied Miracle Clay to draw out the toxins. As for her supplements, I added Hiscorbadyne® in therapeutic levels, and extra Dyna-Pro™ to her TNT, and Breeder Pack. A couple of days later, the hematoma was leaking somewhat, but, not the way I would have liked. On the fifth day after the accident, she was still feeling very poorly and appeared to me to be worse. The weather was warm and the flies started dive bombing her wound. I sprayed Dyna-Shield around and on her wound. I had noticed maggots started to appear, and read on Dynamite Online that maggots can help keep a wound clean. Therefore, I tried removing some of them, but did not worry about getting all of them. I even utilized some of the new fly product which was being tested by Dynamite. It was a white powder, and when applied, she looked awful, but I was determined to get rid of the flies. On Saturday afternoon, five days after treating her, she acted as if she was feeling worse, and was beginning to smell bad. Her temperature concerned me also. It started at 102 degrees and 2 hours later it had increased to 103.5 degrees. Because her temperature was rising, I decided to call the local vet in case of infection in hopes of getting some antibiotics. I wanted to act responsible in a situation that seemed to me to be turning into more of a crisis. When the vet arrived he looked at me and told me to wash everything off that I had applied. Next, he proceeded to cut a huge amount of skin from her neck telling me that he was trying to prevent infection. Then he sprayed her neck forcefully with hose water making it bleed while explaining to me that I would need to do what he was doing 3 times per day. It was hard to watch this aggressive form of treatment, but I held my tongue.

After the vet had finished, he firmly told me that I would need him to come out once a week to check on Giddy, to prevent infection. Apparently, he was very busy that day, so he gave me instructions to finish up and shave all of the hair around every small and large wound she had. The vet put Giddy on antibiotics, and gave me an aerosol worm remover for the maggots. He instructed me to spray the area hard enough with the hose to make her bleed three times per day so she would heal properly. He also told me I would have to go to a research veterinary school in the near future to do a skin graft, but his main concern was to keep her from getting infected now. Another thing he advised was that I take Giddy off of Hiscorbadyne, which I did not do. Giddy seemed to be doing better and the bad smell was gone five days later, so I discontinued the additional month’s worth of antibiotics the vet recommended. I was confident that keeping Giddy on Dynamite and prayer was all I needed. I never used the aerosol product for the maggots. Also, I never asked the vet to come back because I was uncomfortable with his radical treatment of her wound. Over the next two months, I would gently rinse Giddy’s wound twice a day, and then would gently spray on a mixture of distilled water, Solace, and Trace Minerals Concentrate. Then I would put Wound Balm around the outer edges and Wound Salve on the open area, and spray on Dyna-Shield. The flies and maggots disappeared the next week, so I knew she was healing well. When the wound started to close more in the next month, I started applying Tea Tree Oil mixed with olive oil to the wound, and smeared Wound Balm all around it twice a day. Over the next two months, I noticed she was healing very fast! Interestingly enough, the wound healed so well and quickly that my husband’s client who is a surgical M.D., and saw the before pictures, commented that I should become a veterinary wound specialist. Another vet who saw Giddy during the healing process asked what had happened to her. When I told her, she told me she thought my horse looked really good and to keep doing whatever it was I was doing to help her.
