Setting up a Dynamite Business Facebook Page

Setting up a Business Facebook page is a great way to help you succeed with your Dynamite Specialty Products business. From building relationships, to sharing information, to creating a community, Facebook can be an invaluable tool to expand and deepen business relationships.
We want to empower you to succeed in your business so we created a simple document that will guide you through the process of setting up your Facebook business account.
There are numerous resources available to you online to help you come up with ideas or marketing strategies. As always, if you find yourself struggling through the Facebook setup or navigation process, you are always welcome to call our home office and we will walk you through it.

To view an example of a distributor Facebook page check out our demo site here.

1. Set up Your Facebook Page
a. Go to Facebook.com
b. Underneath the green “Sign Up” button there is a “Create a Page” button. Click here to get started.

c. Click on “Brand or Product”.

d. For Category choose "Vitamin/Supplement". For the product name use something to the effect of  "Dynamite Specialty Products/YourName", "Dynamite Specialty Products - Distributor Your Name" or your own business name. Check the "I agree to Facebook Pages Terms". Click "Get Started".
e. If you already have a Facebook account, login to link your personal page to your business page.

f. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can set one up at this time.

2. Complete Basic Information
a. Upload a profile picture. This will be your main visual representation.

Please use the logo provided below.  You can right click on this to save it to your desktop. The Dynamite logo that does not have "Independent Distributor" on it is for corporate use only.

USE THIS LOGO:

b. Add information into the "Basic Info" section. You can include our mission, "Dynamite's mission is to improve the lives of all living creatures, great and small, as well as the earth on which they live."

c. If you have a replicated Dynamite website, a personal website or a blog, you can enter that URL as well. If you have more than one website you can click the "Add Another Site" link.

d. Facebook will then ask you to invite your friends to your page. We would suggest waiting to do this when your page's contents are complete. See item #3 below on how to add content to your page. You can go back to this step and invite friends later (see step #5).

e. Add a cover photo. The size that fits best is 851pixels wide by 315 pixels tall. This photo should represent your business.

Here is a cover photo that you can use:

To use this as your cover photo, simply right click on it and save it to your computer. Then you can upload it using the "Add a Cover" button shown above.

3. Add Content to your Page
a. Click “Edit Info,” and add key information about your business. Keep this section concise and use vivid terms that paint a picture of what you do and why! Be sure to add an email address, and spend time adding pictures to the photos tab.
b. One great resource for content is to “share” information from the Dynamite’s Facebook page. (www.facebook.com/dynamitemarketing). Feel free to use verbiage from our page to use on yours!
4. Take Advantage of Features
Take advantage of the various features Facebook business pages have to offer. Clicking on the “Get Started” button under your default image displays multiple steps you can take to make the most of your page. Here are six worth trying:
  • Invite your friends (see step 5)
  • Tell your fans.
  • Post status updates.
  • Promote this page on your website.
  • Set up your mobile phone.
5. Invite your Friends
At the top of your "Admin Panel" click on the "Build Audience" tab to invite your friends. One great option is the "Invite Email Contacts" option.

6.  Tips and Tricks
a. “Tagging” people: your business page can be an invaluable way to gain exposure. You can tag people in photos or within your status or comments by putting an “@” before you begin typing their name. (Note: You can only do this with friends and businesses that you are a fan of or "like")
b.“Sharing” is another way that your page gains exposure. If someone likes a post of yours, they can “share” it. It will then be posted on their own wall or page. Posting interesting/funny/valuable content is a great way to encourage people to share.
c. The key is to post interesting and valuable content that people are compelled to share with others
d. Engage in two-way conversations on your page! People love to be heard.
e. Read Facebook's page guideline here and make sure to abide by their rules!
